Ancestral Home in Uppinangady

Had been to my ancestral hometown in Uppinangady. The house is a massive one, still untouched and retaining the old style architecture. Anyone else recalls being in this style of house? The feeling of being here is something else :-)

    We call it 'Tottimane'. Totti as in the center catchment area. On a rainy day, sitting in the passage on a easy chair, sipping hot filter coffee with eerulli bajji....aah cannot be compared. (Though we never owned such a house, I've spent a lot of time in them)

    Kuvempu's house in Theerthahalli is similar and really worth a visit.
