I don't know if it was a co-incidence but Veetrag & me raved about Top Gear US being such a nice show - over twitter - and our timings and verdict were almost the same.

I'm sorry - TopGear (US) is shit. Absolutely no emotion or that "special" atmosphere w/Clark, Hammond & May - me (1)

Watched Top Gear US. It has got everything that the real show has but no soul. No one can be as good as Jezaa, Hamster and Cap Slow. - @kv (1)

IMO Veetrag's remark about no soul pretty much captures the whole mood of Top Gear US. 

FWIW This comment captures Top Gear (UK) very well.

I used to think that in order to enjoy Top Gear you have to be interested in cars. Turned out I was wrong.
